Swami Vivekananda Samaja Seva Samsthe is a professionally managed, voluntary, non-profit organization dedicated to inclusive and sustainable community development. The organization was established in 1990 and formally registered in 1993 under the Karnataka Registration Act, 1960. With over three decades of grassroots experience, the organization has been working extensively across rural, interior, drought-prone, and tribal regions of Karnataka.
The organization implements a comprehensive range of socio-economic development, education, health, livelihood promotion, and skill development interventions, in collaboration with community institutions, government departments, and development partners. All programs are designed and executed using a Participatory Development Approach, ensuring active community engagement, leadership development, institutional ownership, and long-term sustainability of outcomes.
